Practice Sofia Bampali

The practice is located in the center of Zug, in the immediate vicinity of Zug’s main train station (1st floor, above “Confiserie Speck” and the “top pharm” pharmacy).

We treat all areas of general and internal medicine from the age of 15. Our goal is high quality care, adapted to the patient’s needs.

  • I was born and raised in Greece, where I completed my medical studies. In 2013 I relocated to Switzerland, where I specialised in general internal medicine. I have been working as a family doctor since 2017. In October 2021 I took over the practice in Zug from Dr. Witt. I am married and a mother of two.

Wrinkle treatment

Botulinum toxin has been used successfully in medicine for decades. It is injected with precision into the muscle using a very fine needle. There it blocks the release of a messenger substance and inhibits the stimulation from the nerve cell to the muscle, causing it to relax. Botulinum toxin injections smooth wrinkles caused by facial expressions and are primarly used for the treatment of the upper face (frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet). First effects of the therapy can be observed within 2-3 days after the injection and they generally last 4-6 months.

Treatment of excessive sweating

Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) in the armpits is the result of various factors. This often has a negative effect on a psychological and individual well-being. Botulinum toxin injections can be used in the armpit area to significantly reduce sweating. The nerve conduction to the sweat glands in the armpits is blocked and perspiration in the treated area decreases significantly or does not occur at all. The treatment also significantly reduces odor formation. The effectiveness of the treatment is maintained between 6-12 months.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Treatment

PRP treatment is the injection of your own blood plasma, that is rich in platelets, into the skin. Platelets play a critical role in tissue repair and regeneration. They regulate important steps of the healing process. PRP is used to plump and thicken the skin, improve skin tone and texture and reduce signs of ageing. Indications in aesthetic medicine:

• Age related skin-changes (Chrono-Aging)

• Aging Skin, due to exposure to UVA And UVB radiation (Photo-Aging)

• Excessive pigmentation (Hyperpigmentation)

• Acneic, post-acneic and scarring injuries

• Sensitive, dull skin

PRP-therapy can also be applied for hair and scalp conditions. More specific indications for the treatments are:
